Besides basic aviation knowledge and flying skills, English also plays an important part in the career of a pilot. Nowadays, all professional pilots have to attain certain levels of English proficiency. I joined the ICAO Aviation English for Cadet Entry Pilots course in order to prepare for the ICAO English test which is part of Cathay Pacifics interview.
I found the course very useful and practical as it was tailor-made for my needs such as to improve my listening skills and grammar in conversion. I enjoyed the topics on the course very much because they were very relevant to my career and it also covered a wide range of daily life issues.
My English has definitely improved since I started the course. Now, I am glad that I am given the opportunity to pursue my dream to become a commercial pilot with Cathay Pacific.
I would like to thank my teachers Michael and Chris for the support they have given throughout my interviews. I recommend this course to anyone who is applying for an airlines cadet pilot programme.

Hello, I took the ICAO English for CPP course in May 2009. I had studied English is Australia before but found that I had little chance to practice speaking.
I was very anxious about taking the ICAO English test for the Cadet Pilot Programme. My English improved a lot on the course and the teacher was able to give me specific advice.
Thank you so much! I passed the test and completed the later stages. Now I\\\'m preparing to start the cadetship.
If you are in the same situation I recommend taking this course.

Hi, I'd like to thank Aviation English Asia for helping improve my English so I can be a flight attendant. This was my second application to Cathay Pacific and I was successful. I've just started training at Cathay City and I'm so happy that finally I can be a flight attendant! J L
